Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts has joined forces with a leading attraction Upside Down House UK to bring an exciting new element to two of its UK resorts.
Upside Down House UK, which launched in November 2018, has partnered up with Gulliver’s to bring an Upside Down House to both Gulliver’s World in Warrington, Cheshire and Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire.
The popular interactive photo attraction for children and adults of all ages allows visitors to touch anything within their reach and offers a unique photo experience that defies gravity. Visitors capture many memorable and surreal photos and videos they flip upside down which they share on their socials and messaging platforms like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. It is an experience to share in real time with friends and family. Equally enjoyed by kids or grown-ups!
The Gulliver’s Kingdom Upside House, which is now open, is themed around fairies and is part of the park’s Fairy Kingdom area. The house has a slide from the upstairs level, so children don’t need to use the stairs on the way down, adding an extra fun element to the house.
The house at Gulliver’s World is coming soon and will be part of the brand-new ‘Land of Oz’ themed area which is still in development.
Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts is a family-run business with four resorts across the UK. Aimed at families with children aged two to 13-years-old, the resorts each offer a great variety of rides, attractions and accommodation options, as well as a calendar packed full of special events throughout the year.
Julie Dalton, managing director of Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts, said: “Gulliver’s has been helping to create magical memories for young children and their families for 46 years and we are always looking at ways to bring new and exciting experiences to our parks for our guests to enjoy.
“We are thrilled to partner up with Upside Down House which sees a house take pride of place at our Warrington and Matlock Bath resorts. We know they are going to be really popular for families as well as school and uniform groups as they offer something completely different, whether you’re falling from a ceiling or placing your head in a toilet! We can’t wait to see all the pictures taken and the fun to be had!”
Since the success of the first house in Bournemouth, Upside Down House Ltd has expanded to multiple locations nationwide, and in other parts of the world, including France, Germany and Australia. Each location is unique, with its own identity. The Upside Down Houses in Matlock Bath and Warrington mark the 10th and the 11th House in the UK. Delivering fun experience to families has always been priority for the quirky attraction and it has been an amazing journey for the Upside Down House Design and Creative Team to create new and unique entertainment structures alongside the team at Gulliver’s.
Alex Barbary, National Business Development Manager at Upside Down House UK, said: "We are very excited to be working in partnership with Gulliver's Theme Park Resorts who are dedicated to providing unforgettable experiences for families and visitors of all ages.
"It has been great fun working with the team at Gulliver's to pull this off; the innovation and creativity to make the Upside Down House unique to each resort is remarkable! I'm confident that our partnership will enhance the visitor experience and I can’t wait to see what's next."
